Eight football clubs fail to respond to child sex abuse inquiry

Eight professional clubs have failed to respond to an independent inquiry's request for information they may have relating to historical child sex abuse in football.

The inquiry, led by barrister Clive Sheldon QC, was started by the Football Association in December, after allegations from former players.

Sheldon wrote to every club in England and Wales in January.

The clubs which have missed the deadline could now face sanctions.

What are the odds on one of them being us?

Given what has gone on in the last five years, it would be no surprise.

However, things appear to be running more smoothly since Sam Gordon took up her position.

She doesn't strike me as the type of person to sit on a problem like this.

I would be disgusted if we did not respond to this kind of request. I would instantly relegate any club that did not respond.

How the hell can you not respond to this kind of thing. It is about children being abused.

Disgusting scumbags

I have no idea what I would do if it were Forest, but I do not see how I could actually give money to a club with such low moral standards
