... and we brits are the best at it! Mad, mad, mad.

But seriously, the way they have identified Lizzie Yarnold and fast-tracked her, identified what is required to be world class in - without as single track - is an absolute triumph for British Sport and the way it is now identifying talent.

Well done Bath, well done UK Sport and Go for Gold - and now Power to Podium.

Yet again the Olympics puts the world of football in this country to shame.

We await the FA to play catch up. Good luck with that, between the rush for FA Cup final seats.

I know it's a second post on my own thread but what the hell.

Get into these Olympics folks if, like me you initially turned a blind eye to it. I was amazed at the Slopestyle yesterday - bloody amazing stuff. Some of these guys started on dry slopes and indoor snowdomes. And then they are in contention for Olympic medals. this is fantastic stuff.

And well done Mervyn, a proper boss

Are you watching Newcastle? Football to shame yet again.

I am enjoying watching it as well Taff and i haven't made my mind up whether the competitiors are brave or mad.

Bumped - well lots of bumps actually!

Bruce - imagine being plucked out of a dry land sport and told by British Sport - "what you do is all very nice but we think you might be better off doing this....."

I stood at the top of the old Bergiselschanze ski jump hill at Innsbruck some years ago and concluded that they were all mad Bruce.

Really looking forward to the ski jumping - the downhill is not done justice to by the camera angles.

This russian skater lass has been the best thing so far .

I missed the sakting Keggy, that's the one thing i cannot get excited about - think maybe i need a trip to the doc's!

Julia Lipnitskaia is the Russian 15 year old prodigy.

That's not her above, whoever that is above is obviously a Pairs skater, ie being held up by a bloke.

You don't make that angle on your own.
