Doncaster Rovers (a): What 3 Things Did We Learn?

1. Sometimes it just isn't quite going to click. We didn't play badly today. We came up against the best organised and drilled team we have played so far this season and ran them pretty close. They won by virtue of a wonder goal. What was evident in Doncaster's play though was what has been highlighted about how good we've been. Organisation and players knowing where they need to be and stick to the tactics. On another day one of those crosses will find one of our players rather than their competent defenders.

2. Some games need a Liam Bridcutt. We have a very young squad. Today we were missing our most experienced player in Liam Bridcutt. We had to chase the game in the second half and were noticeably rushing passes. A wise head such as Bridcutt would have steadied that style of play.

3. Doncaster were delighted with that win once the final whistle was blown. That shows how far we've come in such a short time. The good teams in our division know that they have to respect us otherwise we'll turn them over. The substitutions made by Moore showed that he was holding onto the 1-0 lead rather than try and increase it. We are deservedly at the very top in this league, and the other 23 know that we are a very good team
