Brendon Plaice is legendary, DR did sign some class players though, Neil Smith for one and Gary Breen too (?)

Was a fantastic player and loyal servant to the club.
Always remember a beautiful curling free kick he scored right in front of me at the RE in the 89th minute to beat Chester 1-0. Probably before David Beckham’s parents had even married.
Edit - just checked my “Definitive” and it was Sept 78. I thought it was later in the season and kept our promotion chase alive. Funny thing the memory. Although we did finish 4th that season. Good days.
