The Game
When Villa scored on Wednesday, I was a tad worried, but we had discussed the side without Haaland and we did win the Title playing virtually all season without a recognised striker, so basically the fact that we score 4 in the end and some naysayers saying we made a mistake because if Haaland had been there he would not have missed those chances that fell to Julian Alvarez, but my thought was that had Haaland been on the field then those chances would not have been created.
The good news is that we did not sustain any more injuries and City travel this Saturday lunchtime to Crystal Palace, who has been a pain in the backside on previous occasions, but the fact is that all games in the run in are must win games and even if we do the title is not in our hands.
Ian Holloway and Steve Howey, alongside host Natalie Pike, will be in the studio on the latest Matchday Live show over on the Official site which will start about 1 hour before kick-off and usually at the same time as the teams are announced. During the game you can listen to live audio commentary from Alistair Mann and Andy Morrison, which is always a good listen too as Ali Mann is a blue but fair in his comments and usually gives credit where credit is due, even if it happens to be the opposition. Extended highlights from the match, as well as a full-match replay [available with a CITY+ subscription] will be accessible from midnight.

City Team News

Nathan Ake and Kyle Walker not fit, but Ederson is getting close although I think most of us are happy that we have such a very competent Keeper in Ortega Moreno.

Looking forward to this game as always. Hope we can improve our goal tally, we need to spank someone, may as well start with Palace.

CITY XI: Ortega Moreno, Lewis, Stones, Dias, Gvardiol, Rodrigo, De Bruyne (C), Bobb, Alvarez, Grealish, Haaland

Subs: Ederson, Kovacic, Doku, Bernardo, Gomez, Akanji, Nunes, Foden, Susoho

Pep Guardiola makes four changes for the trip to Crystal Palace from the side that beat Villa 4-1 in midweek.

John Stones, Erling Haaland, Kevin De Bruyne and Oscar Bobb all comes into the City starting eleven.

Manuel Akanji, Bernardo Silva, Jeremy Doku and Phil Foden revert to the bench.

Goalkeeper Ederson,
who has missed the last three matches, also returns to the matchday squad and is also named on the bench.
