1. Put a shift in. It shouldn't be too much to ask and whilst we appreciate that we are merely fighting for that magical 17th place finish the players need to give Saturday dinnertime a real go. Home form this season has been patchy (to be kind). For every great win against the likes of Sheffield Wednesday and Oxford there have been the debacles against Doncaster and Gillingham to name just a few. Saturday is the last game of the season and you need to give the supporters something to savour before the three month break takes place. To do that the players need to give it 100%. It's the least that they can do.

2. Attack. Crewe will finish this season bottom of the pile. They have conceded just under two goals a game on average. They are however playing without any pressure and just might have a 'what the hell' attitude to their last League one game for at least fifteen months. That will allow our players to have the space to make and take chances. Think about how the team approached the home game with Cheltenham a few days ago. An attitude of almost all out attack from the kick off yielded three quick goals. Do that again and they will crumble. Keep it going for ninety minutes knowing that the holidays await and the goals will flow throughout.

3. Pick those who will be here in July. Taking aside the loan players such as Fiorini and Norton-Cuffey who will put in a shift irrespective of where they are lining up come July, there does seem to be a feeling that some players know they won't be wearing the hallowed red and white stripes come the end of the summer and as such just might not be giving it their all. We do have a number who will be here come season kick off for 22/23 and they will be the ones who will be giving their all in this last game. That just might give an opportunity to one of the contracted youth team players to show what they are capable of and give MA a very early selection problem. So if the likes of Draper, Makama, Cann, Gallagher etc....are eligible to play, give them a go. Youthful enthusiasm just might be the difference on Saturday.
