The article picks up on a point I had in mind about half way down. There are some blooming big teams in The Championship currently (and quite a few of the 'smaller' unfashionable ones in the Premierpoo) so this could be viewed as a spike or peak. Also there are 24 teams in The Championship which is generally more than most top European Leagues. That said it would be nice seeing The Imps playing Sunderland, Birmingham and Dull next season.
