The lockdown now extended for another 15 days until 12th April.

Still, everyone is sticking to the rules and every night at 8 PM the police say thank you by sounding horns and car lights as the locals (including us) stand on our balconies, etc and clap or bang a metal pot with a spoon!

Just as long as you adhere to the strict rules then you are left alone by the police and that's fine with me.

They started doing that here tonight at 8:30pm to thank the nurses and doctors risking their lives to save patients.

I live in a very built up part of town so it was quite spectacular.

I have a very analytical brain so I keep looking at this situation waiting for the bounce of the ball to become clear. It's as clear as a pint of Guinness at the moment but one thing for Malaysia in particular is that there was a recession in the pipes here. The government will now respond will all kinds of Covid19 stimulus packages which they wouldn't have done otherwise.

Can't find the link now....but a random bloke called 'James' left shoeboxes on NHS workers cars last night in whatever area - little message on paper, then a few basics to help tide them.

Plenty of places offering free drink/food as well to help during their off time.

Has this been posted? Gtech have a prototype to make ventilators and could make thousands. I was highly skeptical that this could be done, so if they manage it fair fucking play.

Not that it matters in the times but they’re based in Worcester which is a fairly local company to some of us on here.

On the downside on certain people are trained to use them, and need adequate PPE according to my sister (who’s a doctor).
