Close season boredom?

You know what? It is so refreshing to see someone use the right and proper expression "close season" when so many use the incorrect terminology "closed season."

Well done my friend!

Love the way Clough looks straight at the camera.

Wasn’t a Leeds fan myself but my mates all were. This led to forced trips to watch Leeds in 1975 and in 1976. Usually on the once a month Road Car shoppers bus excursion to Leeds.
Got to see some of the greats fortunately.

Close season is probably too short these days.
And football doesn't even stop during it.
Women's World Cup imminent.
Men's qualifiers.
UEFA qualifying rounds coming up shortly.
Fixtures out in 17 days.

And for anyone in North Wales area in mid June, there's the 2019 Island Games taking place on Ynys Mon (aka Anglesey).
Mini Olympics for various Islands from all over the world (some well known stars appear occasionally such as Mark Cavendish for the Isle of Man).

The close season may be boring but it doesn't last long nowadays.

Even though last season only officially ended on Saturday, it is already 30 days since we played our last game. There are just 61 days to go now until the new one begins.

The Festival of Lincolnshire Football is little more than a month away, players are due to return to their clubs for pre-season training in three weeks' time, and several League One managers have stated an intention to have their squads in place by then. The transfer market should start to warm up within the next week or so as managers return from holidays and thieving agents start to get anxious. Football League contracts expire on 30 June and players will want to ensure as much continuity as possible. We should know whether Bury are staying or going on 19 June, which could release a further clutch of players onto the market within Lincoln's financial range.

You'd like to think that if DC likes any of them, we have a more than favourable chance of procuring one or two ... especially as nearby Bolton are in no great shakes either?

lots of other L1 clubs in the bury area though... with the state their contracts are in, surely any club interested in any of them won't have to wait until the 19th june anyway.
