Cheltenham striker we are supposedly interested in

Durham Gills: "I am sure we are looking at him as well as numerous other players - pretty random and not helpful to negotiations if posted and taken seriously"

Interesting quote from someone who sometimes has inside info about behind the scenes.

When has Durham actually had behind the scenes info? He just likes to pretend he has then backtracks when he's called out on it

I think he just writes what he thinks Paul Scally would like him to write. He's made himself an unofficial spokesman for the chairman / club.

If we went for him he'd be a replacement for Cody...

Or Donnelly`s replacement.

"he carried the team a lot last season, pacey, knows where to find the net.
"will no doubt show he's ability more with better players around him."
" Can create a goal out of nothing, hard worker who doesn't stop running."
"5ft 9"

Are we talking about Cody or the Cheltenham striker at this point?

It is quite possible he is Donnelly's replacement and is the big strong target man Cody needs to be a 20 goal a season striker again...

I mean I wouldn't have thought I would have asked my mates who are Cheltenham supports what Cody McDonald is like john.

I commented that based upon your discription then he seems to be more of a natural replacement for Cody. And then someone else suggested he might be the replacement for Donnolly instead (since Cody is obvious irreplacable).

In my last response, I was just pointing out the Cheltenham player seems to be more of a Cody than a Donnelly....
