Ched

If Hatchett had concentrated her efforts solely on the moral aspect of a football club allowing a convicted rapist to be part of the Club again then she may have won the moral high ground. She didn't her continued hatred of Ched beyond the point where the judicial process confirmed he was innocent of the crime actually worked in his favour as people began to see her polarised viewpoint.

She's gone quiet at the moment but some of her disciples on S24su are hard at work trying to re write history.

There were (and still are) pretty strong efforts to rewrite history from both sides of the spectrum, tbf. The facts were that he was found guilty on the evidence given in the original trial, and he was found not-guilty (not 'innocent', no-one ever gets found 'innocent') on the evidence given in the second trial.

Regardless of how individuals personal experiences and moral compasses might lead their views of the cases to be on one side or the other, (and that has little to do with Jean Hachett and her naysayers), it was a sorry tale in which there was much to be concerned about and no-one came out of it without being badly damaged.

Anyway, as I said before, this is all ages ago and the hostile feminists have moved on to other targets. Ched isn't front page news anymore. The only thing that matters now is the same as for any of our players. Does he give his all, and is his all good enough..?
