Chatham

Awful and getting worse. The last time I went to Chatham High Street, around February I encountered a gentleman near Iceland who was rummaging through a council waste bin where upon he then consumed the remnants of a discarded crisp packet. I felt sorry for the poor sod, he looked in a bad state so I gave him a fiver to get himself a sandwich or some proper food. Yes this was a socialist act helping each of us to get poorer. What a disgusting reflection of life for some people in 2020 Britain.

Chatham was at least 50 times more violent in the late 50s and 100 times more violent in the previous few hundred years but the problem is the latest immigration, hmm!

When I started drinking in chatham especially in the old pubs replaced by the pentagon you kept your eyes to the floor as just a wrong glance got you the wot u f looking at mush followed by the nut. Most pubs were similar and walking home through the drunken gangs of locals, foreign navy, merchant seamen, army, navy or marines was fun especially when the MPs or Naval Patrol turned up with their battens drawn.

Which part are you challenging me on? Were you around when the military forces clashed in the medway pubs e,g. the two brompton pubs (the Royal Marine and the one next door)? Did you try pub crawling around the slum pubs or meet up with the teddy boy gangs with their flick knives and bike chains.

Have you read the social history of vice and crime in the port, naval base, military town and manufacturing area of chatham. Do you think chatham was different to any other similar place over hundreds of years.

Its as I said previously you must admire China because they recognised your fear and locked up the muslims for re-education.

Completely anecdotal but 100% true personal story...

In my early teens I was jumped from behind by a gang of approximately 8 British men whilst in Chatham in an unprovoked attack. They pulled weapons on me whilst my back was turned. I spent a few days unconscious in hospital.

I was found in the gutter by one of those nasty foreign Muslim immigrants who put me in his car and rushed me to A&E.

I agree with poor education being the root cause problem. It has has fuelled hatred and violence. But immigration is not the problem.
 
I have no problem with Chatham and shop there from time to time. It is much like many other towns in Britain. I have said it before but will say it again: if the Medway towns frighten you then for heavens sake don't go anywhere outside Kent. If you drive up inequality then guess what happens: you get pockets of deprivation all over. You appear to have recognised the signs but not the cause, or the reality.

To those, who are offended by Chatham, please make large donations to Medway Street Angels and food banks and contact your MPs. If you don't care and just like to feel superior, do one.

By all accounts the MPS(red caps for the pedants) used to patrol the Gillingham End Terrace to help keep the peace between the servicemen at home games.

I bet I have spent more time in Rotherham than you have and more recently too. Rotherham is a classic example of a left behind town with all that brings. Notably less prosperous than the average it suffers from all the problems one might expect and no one cares. You prefer to endlessly focus on one small aspect of that situation, an aspect that you and yours ignored until it became convenient to do otherwise.

Bunter and co will of course lift Rotherham up beacuse they care. I'll check in 2024 and get back to you inshallah.
