Thanks in no small part to Guardiola raising the bar in England.

Quite so. Many comments prior to his arrival were of the pompous "He'll never pull that sort of football off in the Premier League, Hah!" ......and they have clearly been proved wrong but will be unlikely to credit him.

Just as we were stitched up in our early appearances in the first knock out round by 'drawing' Barcelona I just would not be at all surprised if we don't get the dippers again.

In an ideal World, Juve would get Barca. Dippers v Rags, Ajax v City, Spuds v Porto

In the reality of warm balls, Dippers v City, Rags v Juve, Spurs v Barca, Porto v Ajax

That guarantees one of the red scum would be in the semis. Hope one gets Barca and the other gets Juve.

I want to avoid the red scum, can be doing without the media circus but agree that Barca and Juve are the strongest sides left.
Then a dippers v Rags with a welcome for the bus at Candlefield with a guarantee of no arrests, would be certain to get a return welcome at old toilet

The game would be postponed, Liverpool fans would get a stadium ban but agree about no arrests made, Merseyside police are afraid of football fans.
