Champions League possibilities

What is absolutely mad about where we find ourselves placed in the champions league is that we are in the final 32. We are in one of 8 groups of which the top 2 qualify for the knockout phase and the 3rd placed team goes into the Europa League knockout round of 32.
What is similarly mad is that by the time we even play our first game in the CL groups, there will have been 53 teams already competed in it via the many qualifying stages in the 2023/24 season so far with only 6 teams of that 53 surviving to join us in the group stages. Those 6 join the 26 of us that have qualified by being league winners or finishing in the allotted qualifying place that differs around Europe.
Of those 53 teams that will have entered in an earlier round than us, you have among them the likes of Young Boys, AEK Athens, Rangers, Braga, Sturm Graz, Ferencvaros, probably Marseille, PSV Eindhoven, Shaktar Donetsk and Galatasary.
We are also guaranteed to face in the groups stages, one of Barcelona, Dortmund or Bayern, PSG, Napoli, Feyenoord and potentially Inter Milan, Sevilla, Benfica or Porto

Toon NMW, yes, that is how I read that article about the groups. Very tough for us, but hey, we want to be part of the big boys club, and we will face it head-on. We need to strengthen the squad. Many will want to join now.
