Went there on a football special absolute moons ago. Can’t remember the score but we lost (maybe the 1-0?). I remember a police/horse escort from the station through lots of side streets to the ground. I expect Sheff United will rest the majority of their first squad though they probably have a decent second string anyway. I do see they have a lot of injuries on the Fantasy Football Scout site.

I'd expect this game to be on the Wednesday because of that

Not a bad draw to be fair. Always enjoyed my trips over to Sheffield Utd.

I was at the FA Cup game at Bramall Lane in 1983 when we lost 1-0 to a 94th-minute Paul Stancliffe header (in the days when a minute or two was all the injury time you got). It's about time we put one over them.

I also couldn't find the car after the game and got soaked because it was tipping down.

Yep I did exactly the same thing on that night. The police kept us in after the game and made us use a different exit to the one we came in. I completely lost my bearings of where the car was and wandered round for ages looking for it. Eventually came across a policeman and asked him for directions back to Bramall Lane in the hope of starting retracing our steps again as we thought we were miles away. Turns out we were just about right outside the stadium and had walked round in circles. Pouring down with rain and soaking wet, it was a late and damp ride home eventually. 40 years ago !

I went to the women’s Euro semi-final there which was a sell out and there were a few car parks could use if you can walk 15 minutes

Happy with that from a purely selfish point of view seeing as Bramall Lane is within walking distance from my house.

Yeah the area around the ground is a bit of a nightmare for parking but it should be possible to find somewhere not a million miles away. There's a fairly large car park near Kwik Fit on Ecclesall Road which usually has plenty of space although not sure about match days.

For any one who can walk 15 minutes Broadfield close has a few businesses with parking and no restrictions. Also has a pub The Hardy Pick with a decently large car park

Yes and they are also the lunch time kick off the saturday following, less than 72 hours after the wednesday. If ever a League cup tie will feature nothing but youngsters and reserves, this will be it. Must offer a realistic chance of progressing to round 3 !!
