Anyone have it and had problems with the connection this morning? I am back up now but it's taken some time.

My heart sank early this morning - not because it was down, generally it is pretty reliable but because I feared having to call one of their Indian desks. I have always found them utterly shite, even the BT Engineer says they know nowt. Supposed to have tested my connection remotely and said it was working OK a couple of years ago, charged me £40-odd for an engineer callout and the engineer came and found the fault outside.
 
As long as the fault is outside your building, THEY have to pick up the bill.

You want your £40 back taff, if they don't threaten the ombundsman, you will sharp get repaid.
 
Also BT are one of the few ISP's who regularly provide government depts with downloading stats which may result in users receiving a letter from HM government :62:

Oh, forgot to say - the BT engineer saw to it I didn't pay. But how shite is this line test thing eh?
