Bristol City v Swansea City Sunday 12:30

After dominating an out of form Watford at Vicarage Road on Wednesday night first-half, taking the lead, and then missing chances to put the game to bed, second-half it was backs to the wall once again, conceding the equaliser and lucky not to lose.

LW post-match, commenting on the second-half struggle, said:

"If we are not going to be able to play with the same attacking threat, we have to manage the game in a different way and that's something we are learning."

He’s right, statistics show we’ve taken the lead in 21 of our 36 games this season, yet could only go on to win 11 of them. If only we could hold on to a lead we would be at the top end of the table. For example Leeds have taken the lead 25 times in matches this season and gone on to win 23 of them.

Moving on to our next match and it’s Bristol City away this Sunday.

A look at their form:

Bristol City last 6 games WWLLLL F8 A9

Bristol City last 6 home games LDLWLL F4 A6

Last Saturday they lost 0-1 to Cardiff at Ashton Gate.

They gave high- flyers Ipswich a fright last Tuesday at Portman Road though, going ahead twice before conceding the winner in the 89’, going down 3-2.

However, they’ve lost four of their last six games and are another team out of form and around us in the table that we should be looking to get points from if we are to avoid relegation.

They sit a point above us in the table in 14th place on 44 points.

Hopefully we’ll start with the same team that won against Sunderland and Blackburn after Allen, Naughton and Cullen we’re rested against Watford before coming on for the last quarter.

Todays teams:

HT: 0-0
Boring match, dominated possession, zero shots on target from Swans, no shots at all from Bristol.
Ronald blocked and double marked, any crosses he has been able to make have been way off.

Bristol have woken up before us, third chance in the last 5 minutes, and they score with first shot on target.
We have been useless.
Here we go

1-0 Dickie 72’

Pathetic walking football from Swansea all match, what are they playing at?
Bristol four straight defeats and they’re all over us
78’ Bristol almost score again.

82’ This is a shambles, we have no idea, just pass it back.
We still haven’t had a shot on target, embarrassing.

90’ a goal down, Wood and Cabango playing pass the ball back and forth in our half, as they did all match, unbelievable!!

4’ added time

This is relegation form.
Swans team looked as if they’d taken sleeping tablets.
Make no mistake this is a huge defeat against a team that had forgotten how to win a game.

This match was as bad as I’ve seen us play all season.
Ronald and Placheta made no impression at all on the wings, they could barely keep hold of the ball.
We were no threat up front and the first decent ball into the box all match and we concede.
I am mad at todays performance from this bunch of weaklings.
No pride, no passion, just going through the motions.
Not good enough to wear the shirt.

A false dawn, back to square one after we thought things were finally clicking into place.
Another second half collapse, fourth game in a row.
Williams’ sixth defeat in eleven games, have we got a Duff Mark 2 or a Martin Mark 2 here. One as bad as the other.
Bristol two shots on target, one goal.
Swans zero shots on target in 94 minutes.
How can you possibly win a game without a shot on target?
You could draw the game maybe, but we couldn’t even manage to do that.
I feel sorry for the travelling fans watching that rubbish.
