Brighton & Hove Albion v Manchester City - Thursday 25th April 2023 - 20:00 BST - Premier League Match Preview and MDT

JOURNALIST NEIL LEIGH AT THE AMEX 💬

There’s something about playing Brighton that seems to really fire Phil Foden’s competitive juices.
That deflected free kick and follow up made it eight goals in his last eight Premier League appearances against the Seagulls.
Futhermore it chalked up the Academy graduate’s 50th and 51st Premier League goals since he burst onto the first team scene at City.
It’s just the latest huge impact by Foden in what has surely been his finest season to date at City - what a player he is.
City couldnt have dreamt of making a better start.
Brighton in contrast look shell shocked.

Kovacic appreciation #2…… looking to play much more positive forward passes now - ones that punch through the opposition midfield block.

Stay sharp City - do nothing to give Brighton any sniff of an opening. Keep it tight, keep up the work rate and press …….and push on for more goals to improve the GD because you never, ever know.
