Brian Moore Stand

Apparently there is a rumours on the facebook group that the Brian Moore Stand has failed its safety certificate. Has anybody else heard anything or is it scaremongering?

Failed or expired ? Two different outcomes. One just needs a reinspection and the other some fixing.

We might need it against leicester if we get through, but not often this season.

I guess we will find out when we play someone who brings decent numbers, possibly Bradford this weekend.

From what I’ve been told it hasn’t been in useable condition this season. However it is going to get sorted (if the work hasn’t already started) and a new scoreboard will be going on top of the BMS.

Exactly, the scaremongeres were using words like condemned. Maybe planed repair in light of the fixture list maybe a better description

I've always thought it to be an insult to the late great Brian Moore that we named such a shit stand his honour.

It should be called the Paul Scally (or Neil Harris, if you prefer) Stand because like him it's still there, just, but causes the club and its supporters embarrassment.

Dismantle it and build a a new Brian Moore Terrace. Stick away fans in the GRS.

That stand has been "temporary" for absolute years, just another thing that has turned the club into a laughing stock. Hopefully we get it sorted.

A laughingstock with whom? Most football fans couldn't find Gillingham on the map. As for knowing about a stand made out of scaffolding even less know or care. They did a poll a few years ago of clubs opposing fans love to 'hate' we didn't get 1 vote. Don't kid yourself we are a laughingstock, nobody cares enough to laugh.

Whilst we are skint and the stand is usable, if the stand saves us 3 or 4 million quid, I'll take being a laugh stock

Why would we need a scoreboard, just a blackboard with '0' would suffice ?
