Scotimp's Views (From Season Preview):

A new name in the National League this season, Boreham Wood have set out to retain the vast majority of their promotion-winning squad. Star striker Lee Angol has re-signed for the club after his 32 goals fired the club to a play-off promotion in May. They have retained the experienced Ricky Shakes and added last season's championship-winning captain Charlie MacDonald from Barnet. Former Arsenal star Allinson knows a thing or two about winning, but keeping his side in the National League this season may well prove his biggest achievement in football. In the words of chairman Danny Hunter, they face a monumental task to stay up.

Prediction: Relegation.

Scotimp's Views (From Season Preview):

One of the unknown quantities in the league this season, a large turnover of staff under the inexperienced management of former player Moyses could produce an interesting opening few months for the Imps. Fund-raising activities of various kinds have raised over £200,000 during the close season, improving both the club's financial standing and the playing budget. The new defence looks very solid with a better quality of player in midfield; with the departure of Tomlinson and Burrow, the question will be whether or not the side has enough goals in it. The difference could be the fitness of long-term injury victim Liam Hearn: a fit Hearn could secure a play-off spot.

Prediction: Top half for the first time since relegation in 2011.
