Stories of £500k bids tunred down with Championship clubs now interested....

Blackpool have turned down offers from several unnamed Championship clubs for highly-rated attacker Bright Osayi-Samuel, from sources close to the club.

Osayi-Samuel only made his senior debut for Blackpool in March 2015 but has already established himself as a key member of the Seasiders side.

The winger burst onto the scene as a 17-year-old making his first-team debut for Blackpool in the Championship in the 2014-15 season, making six appearances under Lee Clark.

Osayi-Samuel went on to establish himself as a regular last season in the Blackpool team in League One under new manager Neil McDonald, featuring in 26 games in all competitions and he has started all four of Blackpool's games in League Two this term.

Scouts from Premier League and Championship clubs have been flocking to Bloomfield Road to cast an eye over Osayi-Samuel's progress and the 19-year-old is regarded as one of the best young prospects in the Football League.

The 19-year-old was raised in Spain but moved to England when he was 10 years old and is a product of Blackpool's youth system.

Blackpool Chief Executive, Alex Cowdy, is demanding at least £1 million from clubs interested in Nigerian winger Bright Osayi-Samuel, as he aims to ward off suitors.

The 19-year-old has been linked with several Premier League and Championship clubs in the summer transfer window, but it is understood that Derby County are in pole position to secure his signature if the Tangerines agree to do business.

The Rams saw their initial bid of 400,000 pounds rejected by Blackpool but the Championship club have not ended their pursuit of Osayi-Samuel.

It is assumed that the teenager will hand in a transfer request to force a move to one of the clubs interested in his signature.

Premier League trio Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur, Stoke City plus second-tier Brighton & Hove are believed to be monitoring the situation of Osayi Samuel.

Nigerian winger Bright-Osayi Samuel will meet with the owner of Blackpool, Owen John Oyston, to hand in a transfer request on Wednesday morning as he attempts to force a move to a Championship club interested in his signature.

Bristol City, Derby County and Brighton & Hove are the three teams in the English second-tier exploring ways to sign the teenager but Blackpool suits are reluctant to letting him leave.

And to scare off Bright Osayi-Samuel’s suitors, Blackpool are forcing clubs to buy the talented winger for one million pounds.

The 19-year-old is in the last year of his contract at Pool, but they have an option to prolong his stay for one year.

This season, the Nigerian-born talent has played five games in the Football League Two, logging 299 minutes.

Holding out for a million to support their coffers "and the longevity of the club"

Come on guys we have a reputation to uphold as the envy of the football league remember

Jeopardising the young lads career because their greed blinds them so much... So basically he has to take a backward step and wait for his contract to run down.. Do wonders for him and the club that won't it!

Blackpool have rejected a 600,000 pounds bid from Bristol City for Bright Osayi-Samuel, with few hours left before the close of the summer transfer window.

The winger attempted to push his move to Bristol City to the last day which was today but the owner of the Seasiders scuppered his plans.

In a move reminiscent of the Peter Odemwingie transfer saga at West Brom back in 2013, Osayi-Samuel was on the way to Ashton Gate to hear what the terms would have been because the owner, Oyston, finally agreed to talk with Bristol City.

But Oyston later declined the offer from The Robins and the Nigerian teenager had to drive back.

Derby County had earlier failed with a bid of 400,000 pounds to sign the 19-year-old.

The next few months will be a test of character for the lad; will he buckle down and make the Oystons a million January or just be a poisonous influence around the squad?

Hope that he developes further under the manager and becomes a better player ,which will benefit both him and us..........
