Alan Irvine

screaming canary

Vital Champions League
New first team coach.
He's been a manager in his own right before and he's been around the block.
Last job was at Blackburn as assistant to a certain Paul Lambert.
Good football contacts, so hopefully he might suggest a few decent players for us to go after. He can't do any worse than our scouts have done so far.

I think the board are future proofing themselves so come April 30th when we are nowhere near the play offs, they can sack AN and then apologise at the end of the year how they left it too late, and then scour Europe for the best manager only to find he's already in Norfolk in Irvine!

Not a bad appointment could have been worse I suppose,
I now envisage Irvine as our future manager when rab gets the sack !
It just gets worse !

I am very concerned regarding as to who is making these big footballing decisions when the board know fack all about football.

I'm not that impressed. A poor manager and was very good at youth coach level for Everton. As said above this will be the next manager appointment. Another Scottish bloke joins our club. I don't see how a failed manager us going to inspire our players.

First thought i that he's better than Holt at least and has experience - tactically?. Some improvement at least on the quality of the first team coach. Time will tell
