Think it’s worth sharing a wonderful LCFC moment on the other side of the world today...
I’m doing some work for the Asian Football Confederation out in Malaysia (setting up English language tests for referees assessors... part of my work at the British Council at the moment). In a pre meeting at the Confederation today, there was the usual small talk of which football team do you support. Fully expecting that the Malaysian and Japanese officials I was meeting with would have no clue who Lincoln City were, I was thrilled when they quickly replied “Ah... The Giantkillers!”
After so many years of miserable results and performances in the FA Cup, I never ever believed we would be known worldwide for anything good in the competition. The magic of 2017 lives on...
