Accrington Stanley (h): What 3 Things Did We Learn?

1) The Lincoln Loco keeps rolling on, some people get on some people get off. Danny and Nicky will keep it rolling onwards. Probably the best descriptor of what is happening is relentless evolution of the club as a whole, players, style of football, everything is geared towards constant improvements. There is no emotional decisions just constant improvements.

Despite everyone's shock at seeing Akinde and Andrade on the bench, after 10 mins of watching the game you would struggle to pick a player you would drop to bring on either.

The four debutants all showed quality that we have only seen in glimpses in previous seasons, this coupled with the old guard bringing the grit in bucket loads.

2) despite bringing bucket loads of quality there is still a lot of work to bring the team together, to allow players to anticipate the pass, to make the runs, to cut out the dangerous cross field ball to right back.

In essence there is masses of potential and it will be exciting but there are mistakes in the team and we will have to continue to support the players when they mess up, or they will just stop doing the exciting things to stop making the mistakes.

3) accrington Stanley finished 14th last season, and despite beating them yesterday, they showed some really good counter attacking. One off the crossbar one off the upright some great saves by Vickers. Everyone keeps saying there is little difference between league 1 and league 2, I think based on accrington being a mid table side that this assumption is wrong and people need to prepare themselves for some really tough games ahead.

Good summary. The third point is spot on: I have no idea who is saying there is little difference between Leagues One and Two, but having spent three months compiling our Season Preview, I can tell them they are a hundred percent wrong.

It was the pundets on quest, along with many other media types who keep saying there is little difference.
