This can be anything at all as long as it has something to do with the sea or oceans!

A ATLANTIC - an Ocean which connects to another A, the Artic Ocean.

B - The Bermuda Triangle - a loosely defined region in the western part of the North Atlantic Ocean where a number of aircraft and ships are said to have disappeared under mysterious circumstances. The idea of the area as uniquely prone to disappearances arose in the mid-20th century, but most reputable sources dismiss the idea that there is any mystery. Featured in quite a few movies.

Well, I can get lost anywhere and I've flown and sailed over the Bermuda Triangle and am still here!

D DOWN To the Sea In Ships - was a black and white film from the late 40's (?) There is a Captain Joy in it who helped changed his grandson's test results so he could go to sea.

Watched it a few times on TV. Richard Widmark and a young Dean Stockwell. Bit of a cross between Moby Dick and Captains Courageous.

E - Elephant Seal. Large earless seal which exists in northern and southern varieties. Apparently at 11000lb it is the largest extant carnivoran.

F - Shipping forecast sea area Finisterre, is now known as FitzRoy... or ... Forties , an area of the North Sea named after a sandbank.
I was thinking of German Bight for "G" too

... or the KATTEGAT - sea area bounded by Jutland (Denmark), in the west, the Baltic Sea in the south, the Skagerrak in the north and Sweden in the east. Our history teacher at school used to mention it a lot. Probably when talking about the Vikings... or was it Kaiser Bill's naval strategy? Think he just liked saying the word. :p

L LINER - sea-going passenger ship

N - Nautilus. A marine mollusc and also the name of the first nuclear powered US submarine and the fictional sub of Captain Nemo in Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea 1870 novel by Jules Verne who took the name from Robert Fulton's submarine considered to be the first practical design of an undersea vessel.
