My point was we shouldn’t spend extreme amounts on just one or two players when we are clearly deficient in several positions. The blend of youth and astute signings from home and abroad playing an exciting brand of football would be great to see, wouldn’t it ?

well given some of the dogsh$t signings made under Kranky's tenure I'd be glad to see the defence sorted out once and for all and a bit more strength added to the team

Dias close to joining Olympiakos on loan. Thank god for that as Kranky's persistence with bringing him on must have cost us several points, including the Norwich debacle where he failed to clear the ball on two occasions. Still having nightmares on that one

Disagree, he is a petulant liability. Would much prefer (another petulant liability) Robinson to play in the middle of defence.

The Portuguese are passengers and getting more game time than their contributions merit. Osborn is never a left back but missed in midfield. Janko couldn't cross a road, Hef just farts about with it and puts us under pressure, Bridcutt and Watson shouldn't be anywhere near the team either...

Carvalho is a luxury player who does the odd thing of genius bit also gives the ball away in bad positions at times. If he is on the pitch we shouldn't play Dias as between them they don't do enough. Would prefer Osborn to Dias any day and TBH Figuerido was a liability last night who was lucky...

anymore news on upping our bid for the Danish keeper? Or on the centre half from Arsenal? I'd read Leeds are in for him also. Going to be a good test on Saturday as they have also made some astute signings. Hopefully they won't have signed Gestede by then.
