Hard pick tonight for MotM. Defensively I thought we were very good all night, so I went for Romero. In attack, other than Richarlison doing hard work, we looked extremely flat.

Kulusevski - 6 Worked hard, but so few outlets or movement to help out against their constant overloads in tight area's

Richarlison - 7 - tried his best, but both left and right of him were no where near good enough. Isolated, no chance , no creation around him

V Man City. As always have tried to not be influenced by others’ comments!
Vicario - 6.5. Marked down because of poor effort at getting to the corner leading to their goal. Otherwise excellent but it was the key moment
Pedro Porro - 6.5. Distribution left much to be desired. Poor free kicks but was pretty solid defending.
Romero - 7.5. Excellent. Dictated our play from the back but rather too slow at times in setting our tempo.
Van de Ven - 8.5. What a buy this man is. A superb all round display. My MOM.
Udogie - 8. Another excellent performance. He gets better and better. Needs to be more aware of forward runs where an early pass in on. Maddison showed him how in his cameo when coming on.
Bentancur - 8. He too wa# excellent. Some of his passing was indifferent especially like many others in execution of his final ball.
Hojbjerg - 7. I am going here with my own eyes! He played really well apart from late on having a fresh air shot in our box and 2 very bad misplaced passes.
Johnson - 6.5. Showed glimpses of what I think we can expect. Worked hard covering back with Bentancur and Porro
Kulusevski - 5.5. Worked extremely hard but his control was awful and he was so easily dispossessed.
Werner - 6. Relatively quiet but again covered back and made lots of great runs missed by Udogie

Richarlison - 6.5 His only real, but important, contribution was his closing down and often some good hold up play. However his pace is woeful and it showed.
Skipp - 6. Came on and melded seamlessly into his role. A fair effort.
Maddison - 5.5 Good to see him back. Will take time to get him back up to speed but one great through ball to Werner was notable. Watch and learn Destiny!
Scarlett - too late to rate but one sublime flick over his and the marker’s head late on and then to collect the ball opened my eyes to his potential.
Ange - 7. If ever he needed his full squad this was the day.
The team - 7 We defended really well but were lacking in the penetrative ball from midfield. Our attack was pretty non existent and clearly needs both better service and greater understanding.

I just copy and paste his initial list....not sure why yours is forming it in a reply....
