Awoniyi wasnt on the same level in fairness. Fofana is at Monaco and is a full French international. He also has a number of other sides interested.

It wasn’t a foregone conclusion that he wouldn’t sign but it was always only a slim possibility.

That is a disincentive for him. FWIW I don't think he will score 10 goals, and I don't think he will play that much. But he will, and has, scored some, with Forest gaining 3 points from the 2 he has scored.

Wood has shown that he can do the job we want/need him to do.

At present he is the only backup we have to Awoniyi but last night he looked fit and up for it. There also aren’t many strikers who could have scored that goal.

He's already won us 2 points this season. Think about how close we were to relegation last season.
