Glad to be up 1-0 at the half. Man for man Lincoln are the better team but we are not clicking all the time. Goes without saying, but in particular missing Bridcutt to mop up and set up our movements. I’d like to see Bishop take this game by the scruff of the neck as he think he and Fiorini can. Poole playing a great game at both ends.

Probably need a quick fire first ten minutes in the second half to grab a second goal. The longer the game goes on the more Burton will fancy their chances, and if they get one I think they may get 2.

HT. Decent half for the score so far - great goal by Fiorini - you could see exactly what he was trying to do as soon as he got the ball. This is a decent bunch of players we have but at the moment you can tell they haven’t played together very much as the moves have been built well but the final ball is the let-down when players are either attempting something they shouldn’t or others are on different wavelengths. Think one of MA’s HT team talks needed, especially the ‘patience’ bit. Giving the ball away a little too often - will get caught out if we keep doing that. Burton had plenty of the ball and opportunities, but their finishing is woeful (hope that’s not a hostage to fortune ). If we play this right we should take all three points, but it depends on fitness, taking the odd chance, and being better with our passing.
