If you’re West Mids based, Shrewsbury means you don’t have to uproot and move either. Possibly a big factor in the move.

Especially as Cosgrove turned down a move to France from Aberdeen (think Guingamp offered a few million for him and more money). Guingamp a bit further than Lincoln but sounded like he was a bit more of a home boy.

Blues only just paid £2m for him. I think that's a cracking signing for Shrewsbury based on that alone (although he was probably a better signing a couple of years ago when he had his breakout season than now perhaps).

My theory is he was out for 10 days per Gary’s tweet last week and we’re just waiting to time the announcement. Might bite me that - but that’s what I think.

All joking aside there is possibly some merit in waiting for TJ to be fit if we are in fact signing him.
