Evening astonian2, evening all. I also went to Aldi this morning and the holiday makers had stripped the shelves clear.
Can you beleive my wife has lit the woodburner tonight. She claims the non stop rain has made it feel like winter.

Evening mate, in Tamworth we have 2 Aldi and the y are opening up another to cope with the demand.
Years ago before I retired I worked with a couple that lived in a small terraced house. They had a woodburner and he used to say that he would to sit by the open back door in his underwear while she would keep on stoking the thing up.

Well I can confirm that it began raining at around 7.45pm in Stratford and it is still coming down now, albeit much less heavily.
