Best League in the world the PL summed up by most of the top players being Foreign.
Other countries actually set their national teams up for success. Money has dictated we set the PL up for success and the national team for failure. I hope and think that's changing but you only need to look on here at English people talking about the England team to see we've a long way to come back.

We should have beaten them in Mexico. Instead, 2 up and 20 minutes to go, we resorted to knocking it about at the back and saying come on then. Germany to their credit duly did. We were arrogant and paid for it. With Germany you don't relax until the final whistle is blown.

England are playing most of the tournament at home [1966?] not in Baku [Wales] or Hungary [Portugal] with crowds. I'm not sure beating [aged] Croatia 1-0 at home is a big surprise.

Thoughts are with Coca Cola at this difficult time

"Cristiano Ronaldo’s removal of two Coca-Cola bottles during a press conference at the Euros has coincided with a $4bn fall in the share price of the drinks giant.

Coca-Cola’s share price dropped from $56.10 to $55.22 almost immediately after Ronaldo’s gesture, a 1.6% dip. The market value of Coca-Cola went from $242bn to $238bn – a drop of $4bn."

I saw that. $4bn sounds like a lot but a 1.6% dip in a stock price is a petty normal fluctuation.

Why would people drink full fat coke anyway ?. Bizarre behaviour when the alternatives are ok.

they aren't at all keen on each other in that neck of the woods -
Need to do more kneeling to resolve their issues.

Nowt for Rudiger biting Pogba yet tho

Indeed, but they were recent atrocities on our continent in most of our lifetimes. He should be kicked out of the tournament for that.
