Davis does more in 10 mins than the rest do all game
Davis changed the game, hit the post, another shot saved after a great bit of skill, and then nipped in with a goal. Should have been put on earlier - man of the match for me even though he only played 10 mins
Totally agree, smith had the luxury of games to try a few things but he's done nothing innovative. Piss poorI’m not sure how anyone can believe Smith can take us any further, he proves to me each week he’s not up to it, I’d get rid now and see if Terry can a tune out of um till the end of the season.
He was absolutely fucking shit against Man City. Let's not get ahead of ourselves.Good idea of Smith bring on a striker to try and save the game. Scored, had a shot saved, hit he post to prove Smith right. NO IT PROVED HIM WRONG. Give Davis a proper chance. He will score goals. He is not the player he was. He's much stronger, much better. Start him regularly for the rest of the season.
Jury is out on Keinan but he does give us better balance. Ollie is way too isolated and wide men ain't good enough. Ruthless close season needed Deano. So pleased for Davis, he shows more heart and desire than half of our team.
I would seriously think about giving the lad a run in the team now we have nothing to lose and nothing to gain
That is my biggest criticism. We are safe, we have a few promising kids, give them a 15 minutes run out. Try a few formations, be brave. The team is the epitome of the manager. Safe and predictable. Pretty boring....Totally agree, smith had the luxury of games to try a few things but he's done nothing innovative. Piss poor
I agree and weirdly enjoyed it, just to see us fluid in attack. Baggies defended really well up to the Davis goal and were stopping everything between the defence and Johnstone, who doesn't deserve to be relegated.Actually thought that was our best display for a while tbh. Delighted to see Davis on the scoresheet and the fact that the goal really means Albion are down is the icing on the cake.....we're comfortable in 11th place, they're virtually relegated. Not a bad night.
Something that frustrates me is how narrow we line up at corners. It would appear that everybody has to be in a line from the centre of the goal and through the penalty spot. For crying out loud spread yourselves out and create some space in the penalty area. Especially in light of the fact that none of our players appears to be able to accurately cross the bloody ball.Corners have been awful all season. The most annoying thing is they seem to be planned with "red" or "blue" code words and they're still woeful.
