"The League will continue to work with key stakeholders including fan groups, Government, UEFA, The FA, EFL, PFA and LMA to protect the best interests of the game and call on those clubs involved in the proposed competition to cease their involvement immediately.

A lot of us called the PL the greed league before this even greedier, grotesque league was mooted. This is an opportunity to go further and get fans on board à la Germany because whilst the kettle is black so is the pot.

I suppose when you live in a gilded Ivory tower in America like John Henry (Liverpool) and Glazer (Manchester United) you don't really think about the likes of decent people supporting their clubs and doesn't really enter their greedy minds.

To them, it's all about the money and bollocks to the history of our football, the hurt it will cause towards each club's fans, and not forgetting the threat of relegation in a league if you fail.........No, no, no we can't be having that!

If they don't get their own way with this greed-power-play then I expect to see the toys out of the prams and the respective clubs privately put up for sale.

Let's hope so and good riddance I say.

Still laughable though how Spurs call themselves a top 6 club in the UK when surely becoming a top 6 club should be earned by actual achievements and not some deluded Chairman (Levy) plus the Spurs owners and because you have a nice new shiny ground,

Doesn't actually say anything, does it?

Bored now.

Can we just get on with the fact that this idea, in this form , is a non starter and is just not going happen.

Then we can get on and look forward to an amended plan in a couple of months. When it will all kick off again and then stopped again until something comes up where the likes of PSG and Bayern want to play. Then they will all fcuk off.

The real issue in all of this is greed. Not just those 12 clubs which are the richest clubs in the world but can't make ends meet because of the greed of players, agents and all of the other hangers-on.

Does Bale need £300k a week? What about Messi on £500k a week? Wayne Rooney constantly threatening to leave Utd unless he got another massive bump in salary.

Those clubs are up shit creek financially because they couldn't cooperate on wages and ran themselves into deeper and deeper debt to keep up with each other.

It's like an insane middle-class cul-de-sac all buying increasingly expensive cars on finance to out do each other while slowly drowning in debt.
