Really? I don't recall him saying that.I do feel Appleton is only here for the three and a half years of his contract, he made that much clear when he first came.

I'll be signing my yearly extension in the summer.
He will probably go to Huddersfield, the perfect opportunity.
I notice they are towards the very bottom of the form table, sinking like a brick and have signed 34-year-old centre half Richard Keogh. Their shiny new Spanish manager has a worse win percentage than Danny and Nicky, yet strangely their fans seem happy enough because they're playing "nice" football. Not won since the 29th of December...perhaps worth a bet on relegation? I was going to put a tenner on at the start of the season but forgot.
Has the club won the euro millions and I’ve not heard about it?
Scully next to sign an extension, hopefully.
maybe we can buy Toffolo back - say £300k
What was the name of that poster who thought Appleton was a really poor appointment?

They haven't won all year and have been in 14th/15th place for ages in the league. I don't want to pass them on the way up. I like the one from Jules about expectations need resetting. They do but in completley the opposite way to which we were thinkingThis thread from a year ago after that awful showing at Southend is quite interesting. There's 3 or 4 posters not at all happy with him back then.
However, the rest of us can gloat....

Me neither. Think he had a 3 year plan, don't think he then added "toodle pip".Really? I don't recall him saying that.
Billy the Imp was the specific one. An entertaining read apart from the sensible postsThis thread from a year ago after that awful showing at Southend is quite interesting. There's 3 or 4 posters not at all happy with him back then.

With the foresight of hindsight, there's some fairly prescient insights on that thread! This thread from a year ago after that awful showing at Southend is quite interesting. There's 3 or 4 posters not at all happy with him back then.

Alex Palmer. I'd push the financial boat out for him. A 'keeper you could build a Championship side around.
West Brom might be in for a progressive manager to rebuild for a promotion tilt - without spending a lot of money. We thought that was a job the Cowleys might jump to but it would genuinely be a good fit this time?
