Here's every single word Jose Mourinho said ahead of Tottenham Hotspur's Premier League match against Fulham on Wednesday night

The biggest impact is to have matches postponed. That is the biggest impact. The changing of the order of the matches, the impact is minimal I would say.

In the end you have to play 19 matches at home and 19 away, and two matches against every team. So if it's to help the Premier League to go and to end properly, it's a solution we all have to accept as a positive solution.

What have you made of concerns over celebrations in dressing rooms? Is it the last chance saloon for football?

In terms of dressing rooms, I don't believe that at Premier League level in any team's dressing rooms we have this kind of celebrations just by winning three points in the Premier League.

When you go down, to the FA Cup, to giant killings, to incredible moments for some clubs and players' careers, that can happen. Because it's the wild emotion of football that can push to that.

I think now they will not repeat that. I think now with the exposure and the comments and the explanation of the risks, I think now the boys even with crazy happiness of a big day for them, they will control [themselves].

During matches at Premier League level, the celebrations of a goal, I think more is becoming less.

I don't even celebrate goals myself almost. Because of the VAR, I adapt and I went in a certain direction to controlling emotions and I believe the players can do a little bit of the same.

The reality is that the big exposure was some celebrations after matches in the dressing room. And in the normal situation, that's the beauty of football, of a small team beating the giant. But in this moment, they have to control and adapt.

Are we entering a crucial time and will you remind your players of their responsibility?

We do it all the time. Many, many times before the tactical meetings we have meetings with the medical staff and the ones who have the responsibility to control. We have data for the players, we have advised and explanation about the rules. We are very critical when we have a reason to be, we will do our best.

We are all very, very happy when, like it happened today, we got the results of the last testing and we realise how well we are trying.

Do you feel it is acceptable that Fulham have had just 48 hours to prepare?

Are you serious. They had 48 hours to prepare for this game. You think so? I had the news I was not going to play them two hours before the game started.

You managed Scott Parker, what have you made of his job at Fulham?

Very happy, was a great guy, a great professional, a team player. When he decided to go to Newcastle to play more than he was with us, that showed his character and personality and he had a very good career in the Premier League and national team. He went back to Fulham on his learning process as a coach and what can you say he got promotion, he is showing also that is very capable of giving them the stability to stay in the Premier League.

I like him very much, I don't hide that, he knows that and feels it, so I am very happy with the good things he is doing.

What do you need to do to win against a Fulham side that has tightened up?

In this moment it’s difficult to play against them. To defend the way they do with five in the back, and sometimes a second line of four, other times with three, is not easy to score goals against them.

That’s obvious and then they have different ways of being dangerous. One thing is to be dangerous with Mitrovic, another thing is to be dangerous without Mitrovic, and they are good in these different situations.

They can counter-attack well, they can arrive in crossing positions and create difficulties. They are a good team .they transform a little bit their philosophy, they understood well how to change, they did it. They are having results. And it’s going to be difficult.

Have any players from Sunday played their way into the starting XI?

Nothing to do one thing with another thing. I said before the game, that it’s not the game to analyse performances, was a game to analyse attitude and principles. And at that level, I believe that is not just me, I even heard some whispers from other friends in football, everybody admired the way my players faced that game, the respect that they faced that game and at that level I am very pleased with everyone that was on that pitch.

What is the situation with Davinson Sanchez as he's playing some matches and not others?

It happens the same with all our central defenders. Davinson, Alderweireld, Dier, Rodon, Tanganga. It’s not like one of them is playing every match and the other one is not playing. Davinson didn’t play the last match, but played a few, and that’s how it is.

What's the latest on Giovani Lo Celso?

He’s injured. For a few weeks.

There has been talk of Harry Winks leaving the club this month?

What do I have to say to stop with this talk? I said already, he’s going nowhere. He’s going nowhere. So when I say he’s going nowhere, what more do you want me to say?

He’s played the last matches. He didn’t play the last one, was a decision to let play other players like Gedson and players that are not basically playing many minutes. Tomorrow’s he’s selected again,. And if somebody is speaking with other clubs, my advice is don’t lose [waste] your time, don’t lose your time because he’s going nowhere.

Has Alfie Devine been smiling in training since Sunday?

I don't know because I sent him back to the academy. When you reach that high moment now it's time to go back to where he belongs and it's time to calm down because as you say, lots of lights on him. This is the moment to calm down and go back to the academy. I don't want to see him for maybe one or two weeks. Let him be there.

Is Erik Lamela available for this match?

(Long pause) He is but I don't know, but I think you understand what I want to mean. He can be selected for tomorrow, he can. Legally he can but I still have a decision to make.

Oliver Skipp has been getting plenty of praise at Norwich, is there a temptation to bring him back this month or is it better for his development to stay and play matches?

In a selfish perspective it would be good to bring him back now, but we're not selfish. The players are very important. The future is very important, the best thing for him is to finish the season there.

Very successful loan for us and also for Norwich. We're very happy that he's playing and he's playing well. He's playing to win and to win titles so he has that pressure on him too.

He's playing two or three matches a week so there's also a physical development. Next season he's back, but we believe that for this season we think it's best for him to stay at Norwich and he's also very happy with that.

You were positive about Gedson Fernandes on Sunday, do you think he will stay at Spurs for the rest of the season or go back to Benfica?

I don't know. I don't know. If he stays I'm happy. Again, from a selfish point of view I'm very happy if he stays because he's a good player and when we need him we know that we have some quality coming from him.

Of course it's a pity that he can't be in the Europa League list. We've played already nine matches in the Europa League. I would imagine that playing in the Europa League would be a much happier situation for him. But in the selfish look at it I would like him to stay but again we are not selfish and we think of the players. In this case we also think about the father club so we have just to wait.

Have there been discussions about signing Nicolas Gonzalez from Stuttgart?

Discussions with who? Not with me.

Is he a player you're interested in?

No, no.

What did you make of Mesut Ozil saying he'd rather retire than sign for Tottenham?

Who told him that Tottenham is interested in signing him?

The last comment is aimed at his agent, who I know is talking to others, it will be down to Winks I think to insist on a move or get very stroppy and force his way out, or it's heads down and await the summer..

I would feel relieved if Lamala left, especially if the club got a few quid! Im sure he is the son of the whirling dervish and my little pony. The only thing he has learned since being with us the Hokey Cokey..

Jose will always divide opinions as to what happens on the pitch, but unquestionably off the pitch we have the most entertaining manager in the Premiership. The likes of Guardiola, Solskjaer, Artetta and even Klopp are positively boring in comparison. Every conference or interview that Mourinho holds, whether good or bad, is always an event, either to be anticipated, or to fuel controversy and discussion.

Its all basic stuff.
The fact of the matter is that a supposed shite united ate 3 points clear this evening.
I would suggest our schedule has not been great and we dropped points but we are still in the mix.
But we are in one final.
A win sticks us back up well into the mix.
If Deli is back in the fold might be a game changer.
Erik messed up and is being called out as a senior player. Fucking right from the boss.
Nothing to see here really.

Not for me. When Jose first joined his pressers were very entertaining and articulate. Then the media just picked his every word apart and were truly selective in finding the negative things he said so Jose shut down on them. What was left was a guy that was po faced, refused to answer certain questions and just gave cryptic, defensive and minimal answers. The pressers become shorter and more controlled by THFC e.g. "no questions on Dele".

I'm hoping now Jose's now coming out of the other side and he can be a little more straight talking like he's been in the last week. For me, Klopp is the biggest personality and anything but boring. He can be articulate, funny and controversial all rolled into one. He's probably the most gregarious out of all those top 6 managers.

I would have to agree that, despite the fact that he manages Liverpool, Klopp is the most charismatic manager in the PL. Jose does have his moments though, and when I say he's the most entertaining, it is not always positive entertainment, but is more often than not something to make you smile, even if its only 'what an idiot'.
