Match Thread: Lincoln City v Ipswich Town

Ipswich did sod all today . What a ponderous pedestrian performance from the Tractor Boys .There was no need to take the game to them because it was clear they would manage to fock it up for us at some stage. As for Lambert? Yet another Knob .No one likes getting beat by Lincoln do they?
Ah, darkness approaches and up arises Alucard.

It will take me a while to check if it was a record, but in 1982-83 we scored from 12 penalties in FL games (Bell 8, Cunningham 3, Shipley 1) plus 2 FL Cup (Bell 1, Cunningham 1) and 1 FL Trophy (Bell), total 15.

The club record for League and Cup games in a season is 10 by Sam Ellis (1974-75 and 1975-76) and Derek Bell (1982-83). John Akinde scored 9 on 2018-19, the club record in FL for a season.

Notice the comment about us jumping for joy 'and we still have to play them again'
The return at Portman Rd should be interesting, I like a good needle match
Seem to remember them doing similar when they won the league game there last season.
