Michael O'Connor Signs!

Another cracking signing. He could really make Lincoln tick, will we see a change from the Rhead-ball?

Now we need a midfielder in the Woodyard mound or perhaps one with pace. We don’t currently have the fastest midfield, which did cause us some problems last season when we were countered. Will bossy be at the back?

Great deal, great potential.

You can almost read the caption; through the gritted teeth: "who the f**k designed this shirt?"

“A very busy but promising day at Sincil Bank today”..... Busy in terms of sorting out the contract for O’Connor or busy because there have been other potential players there discussing terms etc? Interesting....

Midnight oil being burnt at SB? Don't go to bed too early chaps, getting a tickly sense that's not quite it.... #scarfday

I think Clive said that signings were mn’t imminent, but a lot of work towards signings has been made.

Dick Tacey having a medical prior to registering as a player for next season!.......not confirmed yet on lcfc site.

seriously voted for Dick as kitman of the year and he came a close second........keep it up Dick!.........doing a top job

Pleased with that ! Need a young un in for some pace in midfield(unless thats Pett)

Is Bossie going to play at CB with a younger more energetic midfielder in there to complement O'Connor/Freck? If not will there simply be a lot more rotation involving the latter two plus Pett?

If anyone gets the chance can they ask him what he feels like coming to a big club with massive expectations!

i think Bossie will play in front of the defence, - but we don't need 2 players doing that. we were tied down last season with it. hopefully we will see a more fluid midfield, plenty of movement.

If he is half as good as AW then i will be happy.......to play football you need to win the ball and hopefully he will do that for us........,bundles of experience.
last time around he did impress ........just had few games in the last season through injury problems.
Get Mike Hine on those soft tissue jobs and he will see some game time.

We need to do better than AW if we are to progress, in all honesty and, with this lad, I think we have.

Good move if he stays fit though and a sensible contract length of a year with a year option for the Club, too, so there's a bit of safety there for us. Played alongside Frecklington in Rotherham's promotion years so they'll know each other well.

A clear sign we're planning on 4-3-3 this season because you don't have a Bostwick, Frecklington or O'Connor sat on your bench. Nor is it a replacement for Woodyard.

One criticism last season was that with Bostwick and Woodyard together lacked creativity (which it did) and they were both doing similar jobs in the team (which they were) so the signing of Frecklington in January and now O'Connor should provide us with a little bit more quality from an attacking sense in CM.

Along with this, needing another LB and Andrade to offer a little more directness, pace and quality, it feels like we're starting to tick a few 'weaknesses' off the list.
