World's leading champagne Socialist dies

I feel for his family as 52 is no age to die.

It doesn't change that he was a vile hypocrite and I certainly won't miss seeing his angry faux-communist mug on my TV screen.

So I suppose it's a case of:

R.I.P. you won't be missed.

Have to feel for the family.

Never thought I'd agree with Hopkins though, although the BS on the BBC and coverage is doing my head in now. Like even Mad Boris was going to call him a .... following his death.

Sad for his family. I'm no fan of the person , or at least the way he presented himself in public.

You need left, you need right, you need centre and you certainly need champagne.

Hope that clarifies my position.

:14:

Sad age to go, as said in the interesting thread and the rip thread!! :17:

He stood up for the rights of his workers. Yes he did live in social housing and prevented someone poorer having accommodation but he was of the people

Couldn't really win could he ? He was born in a council house and wanted to live all his life in a council house so seems fair enough to me.

If he lived in a £1 million house he would have got stick for that as well.

There's plenty of other folk who drive posh motors take exotic holidays have well paying jobs but live in council/housing association houses and don't get any grief over it.

You aren't meant to stand up for the common man though you see, upsets those at the very 'top' and their minions.

I'm not a fan of how unions in Northern Europe go about their business, they do more harm than good imo, and Crow was one of the strongest proponents of this type of unionism so in terms of every day life I'm glad he's out of the game but I'd not wish harm or death on the man, he may well have been a nice bloke in private life and as mentioned, very sad for his family.

This seems as good a place as any to repeat a joke I read yesterday.

a:"Bob Crow's dead"
b:"Murder?"
a:"No, there was just one of him"
