The proposed statue was shown 3 or 4 years ago so goodness knows what's happened. I'm in favour of a statue but as AW played for Rotherham Town in the 1880s I think the statue should be with the plaque at Clifton Lane. It's a bit cheeky to put him outside NYS as Rotherham United only formed in 1925.

I've seen a photo from yesterday with the statue on it at Preston - although it was only about a foot tall - but can't find the 'photo now.

Suppose it would be 'cheeky' to put it at the NYS, Lindum, but if it's as large as I was first told it would be then I doubt it would fit anywhere at Clifton Lane.
