Graham Westley under investigation at Newport County after bizarre outburst

GRAHAM WESTLEY is at the centre of a club investigation at Newport County following a bizarre outburst about an ice machine following his side's 4-1 thrashing at Blackpool last weekend.

Starsport can exclusively reveal that Westley resigned as boss earlier this week - before changing his mind 24 hours later.

But following his erratic behaviour towards club staff he is now the subject of an internal investigation into his conduct which could still see him leave the League Two club.

It is understood Westley, who only took charge in October, has been accused of bullying
Westley, 48, blew his top last Friday when he discovered rooms that had been booked for him and his squad at the team hotel in Preston were on the ground floor.

He prefers to be on the top floor of hotels, but to make matters worse he was situated near an ice-making machine.

His outbursts led to an internal row that saw him blame club officials - despite the booking being made by a travel company.

This led to allegations of bullying of staff - which the club are now investigating.

It is understood that Wesley has already been warned about his attitude when communicating with people at the club.

He could also find himself under investigation by the FA if the allegations are reported to them.

The former Preston boss has won just four games since joining Newport and club bosses are tiring of his extrovert demands and behaviour amid growing rumours of dressing room discontent.
