The tech companies one is something that France have looked at.

The Directors and CEO's I had as client worked far less than their staff. I spent most of my time on a golf course with them. There are all sorts of tricks they use to hide money. I know. That was part of my job to teach them.

The idea of forcing them to pay more to staff fills me with conflicted views. I'm no socialist, and believe in free capitalism, but how much money is enough? Shouldn't a living wage be achievable for all in 2020?

I really wish they'd just do it voluntarily.
 
Th autopsy has been released, and the right are pointing out that Floyd had fentanyl in his system, and so he died from that.

Could the cop get away with this? How would that work out for the protestors?

The independent autopsy showed cause of death asphyxiation.
Could be an epic court case looming knowing the US. If the cops did get off I think your talking civil war.

Unless it was the Fentanyl leaning on his neck, it's about as useful an argument as he'd had a beer an hour ago.

Given they've upgraded the charge from 3 to 2 following the release of the report, the DA is following the right track.
 
Just watched the footage of the main incident, very hard to stomach, poor guy foreseen his own death, calling for his Mom, makes your blood boil how smug the murderer was kneeling on his neck.

I am nowhere near a racist. And i have very open minded views to race, religion and culture. But this is starting to get a tad ridiculous.

It's been getting ridiculous for a long time.

I think racism in western society is completely overblown. Of course it exists, but not to the extent the media and SJWs portray.

You have celebrities apologizing every week these days for remarks that weren't in the slightest racist but the liberal weirdos keep moving the goalposts. It's almost like they want racism to be everywhere.

This just seems like look at me I'm so with it and modern and up with the current hand wringing occurring from people who really don't need to justify that they are not racist.

Ok. I am going by memory but I watched these shows loads back in the day and on repeat. There was not anything remotely racist was there?. Sure there were black masks but equally there were white masks and just as much mickey taking of white people.
And Mel B appeared in the music video for the Bo selecta xmas song and may have even been in the series. So what does that say ?

Yes he absolutely ruined Craig David's career for a while but it was nothing more than relentless piss taking at worst of anyone regardless of colour wasn't it?.

LOL, I find myself both agreeing and disagreeing with you at the same time.

I don't think racism is overblown at all. it's endemic.

However, the liberals making it impossible to even mention it are part of the problem, and just need to shut up. There is nothing wrong with comedians, for example, using racism in their routines to highlight the issue, but no, it's just not allowed.

I find it hard to understand why we can't all just take each person at face value, not make generic decisions based on race or even sex.

Yes, I would agree it's endemic, I don't think that can be disputed. What I meant by overblown is how everything is perceived as racism these days, no intent is needed. Doesn't help when the liberals keep having secret meetings where they change the terminology every 6 months.

Completely agree with your last sentence, identity politics is everywhere now. I've always seen people and myself as individuals, and not part of a group identity, but these modern liberals or whatever they're called like to put people in groups and cause bigger divisions. Seems kind of non-liberal to me. I find it very strange what's going on.

Yes its the illiberal left wing in this country at the forfront of it.
You only have to look at our universities, especially the elite ones, Oxford, Cambridge where for a long while now anything that upsets these privileged offspring of mostly rich folk is banned from the campus.
Statues that have been there for years, paintings, books etc that are deemed to be a part of our colonial past are pulled down or thrown out.
Guest speakers have to be on message or they are banned or shouted down.
It is like China in the days of Mao, we are only missing the little red book, but plenty of time yet I suppose.

lol, in fairness, I've seen some brutal videos of unarmed white people getting shot dead, one in particular of a guy who was face down on the ground trying to put his hands where the cop was telling him to, but because he was getting it wrong and moved his hand an inch the cop blew him away. One of the most psychotic things I have ever seen.

Racism isn't their only problem, they have an element of gun toting maniacs that don't discriminate.
