Today's League One Match Thread

Portsmouth look like they may be heading back to the Championship - ten successive home wins in the league and only two points off top spot. Must be favourites for the title now. They are also heading back to Wembley to try to retain the EFL Trophy, which will be a bizarre experience: they have been given an initial allocation of 50,300 tickets, with Salford allocated...3,000.

Tranmere have some really interesting fixtures this month

7th Away at Accrington
10th Away at Blackpool
14th Home to us
17th Away at Rochdale
21st Away at Wimbledon
28th Home to MK Dons

So Five of their next six opponents are teams in the places directly above them. If they have any glimmer of staying up they need to start winning games really soon. With that set of fixtures we will know by the end of this month if they are really doomed.

So long as we don't lose at Prenton Park we also have the fall back position that other teams below us will be taking points off each other

Coventry's win over Sunderland puts them top and five points clear of third place. If they get anything at Ipswich next week, I think they'll take some stopping, in great 'home' form.
