Actually early morning light exposure is far more beneficial for mental health. It helps align the circadian rhythm, there’s decent evidence for this.We should stay on BST.
Lighter evenings therefore less energy bills. Better mental health as people will be more inclined to get out and about longer into the day whether exercising or socialising. Quite common that during the winter months people go to work in the dark and come home in the dark which is utter pants.

Staying on BST means very dark mornings in the winter.
I must be an elite athlete thenAh , you mean the Haarland thing where he says he goes outside for 10 mins every morning to get the sunlight . Not sure the average non elite athlete would do this as part of their morning routine. And no one does fuck all in the morning apart from getting to work and school etc. So lighter mornings, while safer , does not benefit the wider public as they don’t have time to use the benefit.
In the winter people just rush home to get into the warm and escape the dark. Just as much positive mental health evidence that the ability to exercise, socialise in the light hours after work is of huge benefit. I would imagine the average person would like the ability to use their time after work than before .
Didn't tell our dog either, and she still hasn't got the message this morning. Bloody thing. No one told our cat. Jumped on my head at 6 o'clock demanding to be fed.
