The Walking Dead season 4 gets UK air date days after US
The Walking Dead is to return to UK screens for its fourth season on October 18, Fox has confirmed.
British fans of the the cult zombie drama will have to wait just five days after it screens in the US on AMC.
Anticipation is high over the new season given the cliffhanger at the end of the last, which saw the Governor (David Morrissey) escape.
The Walking Dead’s lead actor Andrew Lincoln, who plays Rick Grimes, previously promised a ‘deeper, darker season’.
Co-star Lauren Cohan, who plays Maggie Greene, added meanwhile: ‘There’s this wonderful slow burn to this season that really, really catches you off guard when something happens, because what we get this season that I don’t think we’ve had as much of is very specific deep character development.
‘Where we go off on these little loops into these characters’ lives and then you’re just caught from the side with the horror.’
