What I do like is that we've identified the man we want and gone out and got him, no messing about. Rangers may play in a fairly low standard league but they are champions, on the way to another title and with it automatic qualification to the champions league yet we've gone out and took their manager.

Gerrard is an ambitious and driven man so there's no way he's coming here to make up the numbers. I'm expecting him to backed seriously in January and even more so in the summer.
