In their Headline story about Pools, they are saying Pools play Woking "this evening". Aren't these supposed to be professional journalists? Shouldn't they check their facts before publishing? Isn't it anyone's job to proof read. What a bunch of muppets.
 
I don't think nowadays people go into journalism with the intent of reporting facts in lucid language. Why most of them do go into journalism eludes me.

Even if you don't like the Guardian's politics, they at least used to employ reporters who wrote good English. Now many of their news stories contain the sort of garbled paragraphs we used to be given to correct, in school grammar lessons.
