It’s Sunderland away tomorrow, a long trip for the Jack Army, did it twice when we were both in the PL. Since then Sunderland nosedived to League One but are back in the Championship this season and challenging for promotion in 8th place. They are in a good run of form and last home match beat 3rd place Blackburn in front of a bumper crowd of 44,000.
Swans meanwhile need to get their finger out or they’ll be embroiled in a relegation fight after one win in ten games. We just don’t know what Swansea team will turn up from one week to the next, going from the sublime to the ridiculous in two halves at Bristol last match. One thing is for sure they’ve got to sort out the defensive lapses that are dragging us down.
Recalled in form loan-player Whittaker is not being picked as he’s the subject of a bid. Obafemi and Paterson are in limbo and on their way out. Ntcham can’t play 90mins but is okay as an impact sub. No word on any incomings, so expect more or less the same team as last week.

FT: 1-3
A much needed win and three points. A bit of luck with Sunderland getting a man sent off. A happy journey home though for those travel weary fans.

Latibeaudiere beaten for the cross, Darling easily beaten for the header back across goal for Neil to score Sunderland’s equaliser.
Well done to Manning stretching for the ball to enable Piroe’s tap-in.
Lucky bounce for Cullen to score, but he was in the right place, a poachers goal.
Great run and shot by Cooper for our third goal.

Cardiff City have dismissed manager Mark Hudson after today’s match, where they could only draw 1-1 at home to bottom club Wigan, conceding the equaliser in the 96th minute.
