Way over the top. They didn't give that long or anything like it from recollection for Keane's 'tackle' on Alfie.
He's only had a nibble for goodness sakes. 10 game ban ! Way over the top.
The dippers will have to appeal that now. No point accepting it as he clearly isn't going to play for the run-in and the start of next season. Might as well try and get a few matches knocked-off for next season.
The FA are wilted under all the recent criticisms about not giving retrospective punishments if the referee saw 'some of the incident' etc. They've decided to try and appear strong and make a stand on violence on the pitch.
Totally out of proportion to the crime and incidentally a punishment that could seriously damage the lad's career at the dippers and in the Premiership.
