Former Blackpool striker Nile Ranger jailed for 8 months

Former Blackpool striker Nile Ranger has been jailed for eight months for an online banking fraud after fleecing a woman out of more than £2,000.
The 25-year-old appeared at Wood Green Crown Court for sentence this afternoon after he previously admitted conspiracy to defraud alongside Aseany Duncan, 19, from Enfield, North London.
Ranger pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to defraud - namely that on February 18, 2015 he conspired with persons unknown to defraud Diane Bloss, by obtaining her personal online banking details and transferring by way of an online transaction £2,090.23 from an HSBC account to a Santander account.
He was sentenced to eight months in prison and ordered to pay a £100 victim surcharge and £1,200 prosecution costs. Duncan was also jailed for eight months.

Ranger, who has been dogged by controversy throughout his career, played 14 times for Blackpool during an acrimonious spell at Bloomfield Road.

Could be out in 4 months.

First offence that has carried time, will probably get released on tag ala Troy Deeney, difference is Deeney's offence was, hopefully, a one off.

Ranger has been linked with numerous misdemeanours and unfortunately when he was in the press in his time here pleading for 1 more chance, and I've learned my lesson etc. he clearly hasn't.
Wasn't he earning £40k a week at the toon as a teenager, doubt if he has much left, especially if he is committing offences for £2k.
Hangs about with the proverbial wrong crowd if his social media is anything to go by.
